Under NCAA rules, Student-Athletes are allowed to receive compensation for the use of their name, image and likeness (NIL). This can include physical merchandise such as autographs, photos, T-shirts and hats, as well as digital merchandise such as live streams, virtual press conferences, social media posts, virtual meet-and-greet events, NFTs and personal content posting. It also includes experiences such as VIP events, camps, lessons and personal appearances. Collectives and other NIL initiatives such as UTSA's Runners United sign agreements with Student-Athletes to help them take advantage of NIL opportunities. Collectives pay Student-Athletes a monthly fee in exchange for NIL activities as described above. They ensure the Student-Athletes fulfill their commitments in compliance with NCAA rules prohibiting "pay for play." Financial support for UTSA's Runners United from individuals, businesses and other organizations allows the collective to meet its obligations to the Student-Athletes.

Where does my money go?
Your money goes to strengthen UTSA athletics. Under NCAA rules, Student-Athletes are allowed to receive compensation for the use of their name, image and likeness (NIL). Initiatives UTSA's Runners United signs agreements with Student-Athletes to help them take advantage of NIL opportunities and pay Student-Athletes a monthly fee in exchange for NIL activities as described above. They ensure the Student-Athletes fulfill their commitments in compliance with NCAA rules prohibiting "pay for play."
Can I sign-up and link any payment card into the program?
At this time, you can only use an AMEX, US Visa or Mastercard Credit Card. Please note, AMEX cards do not have access to the cashback rewards.
Can I select which sport my subscription supports?
Yes! Sign into your Runners United Account account at: https://utsa.app.changeitapp.net/login and navigate to My Account, select Profile, and scroll down to ‘Your Sport’ and select ‘change’. You can then select or update the sport tied to your subscription. The update will come into effect the following month.
Is my membership tax deductible?
Unfortunately, your subscription to Runner’s United does not qualify for a tax deduction. We suggest always consulting a tax professional for legal advice on all tax-related matters.
How can I cancel my subscription?
You can stop your participation by e-mailing our team at nilcentral@ascendfs.com. All subscription fees are final sale, no refunds or exchanges.
